Preparing for Harvest - Day 3

Wowza. Day 3, I'm doin' it. Nightly injections, minimal caffeine, no wine, just preparation. I'm feeling good, though as I write this very line I'm laying in bed with a dreadful flu - nothing anyone else doesn't have once or twice a year. I am underway with ICF cycle number one.
I got the call on Friday that we were good to go and my hormone levels were low enough to get these eggs ready for harvest. I'm rotating injection sites, feeling the burn as I inject 300IU of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) each night and optimistic. I've talked to a couple of others who have undergone IVF drugs and feel adequately prepared for what may come (this is all really out there). After night 5 (tomorrow), I will start injecting another hormone and lets hope that on Day 8-10 my ovaries are good and ready.
Amidst this week of daily injections, Ive got a busy week of work, my 3 monthly hematology appointment, ultrasound scans and another 3 hour drive to get to the fertility clinic that will be taking care of the procedure itself.
I'll write more in a couple of days once I'm nearing Day 6 and have had my hematology visit. I'm hoping to feel more informed, knowing that my bloods have deteriorated a bit after last check. My white blood cells are now 32 (they were 16) and my lymphocytes are 28 (were 14). Signs that either things are changing in my body or hopefully, just a variation, rather than a trend.
Stay tuned, there really is never a dull moment.
